Tuesday to Sunday 11am – 5pm
Every first Thursday in the month 11am – 10pm (exept bank holidays)
Closed Mondays

The museum is closed on Carnival. The museum is closed on 24th, 25th and 31st December and on 1st January.

The museum will be closed on October 5 due to the Cologne Marathon.

Our Museum can be visited on Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Day, Ascension Day, Corpus Christi, Whit Monday, October 3rd (Anniversary of German Reunification), All Saints Day, Boxing Day.

Admission prices

€ 9.50 / reduced € 5.50

KölnTag on the first Thursday of the month (except public holidays): free admission to the Permanent Collection for all Cologne residents.

For groups of 10 or more Persons the reduced admission price applies.

Barrier-free access

The museum is barrier-free. Disabled toilet available.

Library

The reference library of the Museum of East Asian Art in Cologne was established with the museum’s founding in 1909 and originated from the private book collection of the museum’s founder Adolf Fischer.
Today, it holds more than 30,000 volumes in various languages, including monographs, reference works, specialist journals as well as exhibition and art trade catalogues, covering the history of art in China, Japan, Korea, Tibet, Mongolia, India and Southeast Asia.

Opening hours: Monday and Wednesday, 11:00am – 01:00pm.
